Any loose wood was re-nailed, and any bad or rotten wood was replaced. We then applied Certainteed WinterGuard ice and water shield at all eaves and in the valleys to prevent ice and leaks. Certainteed RoofRunner Synthetic underlayment was installed to keep the roof dry. A new shingle ridge vent and Certainteed Shadow Ridge Hip and Ridge Shingles were also installed for improved ventilation. Certainteed SwiftStart Starter Shingles were placed along all gutter lines and rake edges to ensure a strong foundation for the new shingles. The new Certainteed Landmark Lifetime Dimensional Shingles were installed as well as Lifetime Ultimate pipe flashing and step flashing to complete the roofing system.

Lastly, we replaced and flashed all of the skylights and installed a cricket on the chimney to divert water and debris away from the area.

We were happy to complete this Standing Seam Metal Roof replacement for this wonderful homeowner in Front Royal, Virginia! First, the existing 3 Tab roof was removed and damaged plywood was replaced. New dormers were installed to open up the loft floor, bringing in more light and giving the profile of the home a fresh new look. Dryer vents were redirected into the soffit to prevent unnecessary roof penetrations. The 24ga McElroy Metal Standing Seam roof was then installed with gable and rake trim. A ridge vent was added for ventilation as well as snow guards to prevent ice falling. To complete the replacement process, a mount for the homeowner's StarLink unit was installed and the chimney mount was securely reattached.

We were happy to help the Hudson family with a full replacement after their roof underwent hail and wind damage from a recent storm. We updated their old 3-Tab Shingle system to the CertainTeed Landmark Architectural Shingle. We began by removing the previous roof down to the plywood. We then replaced any sheets of old plywood, installed DiamondDeck synthetic underlayment and WinterGuard ice and water shield to replace their old felt paper. We cut in a new ridge vent to allow their roof to breathe, replaced all their flashings, and installed Lifetime Ultimate pipe collar flashing. Lastly, we installed starter shingle, ridge cap shingles, and the entire CertainTeed Landmark system!

An improperly installed roof and gutter system caused this porch roof to rot straight through the plywood. We started by tearing off all shingles and underlayment to the plywood, replacing the rotting plywood, and detaching the siding and replacing the apron flashing that had not been replaced when the previous roof was installed. We then rerouted the downspout that had been draining directly onto the roof and finished by installing DiamondDeck synthetic underlayment, drip edge, starter shingle, and lastly brand new asphalt shingles!
